Zhang Jianmin

Zhang Jianmin, Male, born in October1959 inChangge,Henan. Graduating fromWuhanUniversityas a Doctor of history, Professor Zhang now serves as the professor ofCollegeofHumanitiesofWuhanUniversityand doctoral supervisor. Professor Zhang is also a recipient of the Award for “Young or Middle Aged Expert with Prominent Contributions of Hubei Province”, in addition to being acclaimed a trans-century academic leader. He has chaired projects funded by National Social Science Foundation, including “The Development of Mountainous Area in the Yangtze River basin in Ming and Qing Dynasties ", "Research on Ecological Economy Thought in Traditional Chinese Society", etc. Published books includeAgriculture and Irrigation Research of theYangtzeRiver Basinin Ming and Qing Dynasties, andThe History of Natural Disasters(co-authored), and so forth. In addition, Professor Zhang has published more than 40 academic articles in Guangming Daily,Chinese Economic History, Historical Theory and Agriculture History of China, Economic Reviewand other publications. His papers "On Agriculture and Planting in Ming and Qing Dynasties ", "On the Utilization of Water Resources during Ming and Qing Dynasties," "On the Conservation Ideas in Traditional Agricultural Age” and so on have won him a lot of awards.
