Chen Feng, born inShandongProvincein 1955, got the Ph.D. of history. He is one of the experts who enjoy the State Council Special Subsidy for his outstanding contributions. Meanwhile, he was honored as the Trans-century Academic Leader of Hubei Province. As a doctoral supervisor and professor of the Department of History, his special research interests are in the history of Chinese economics, finance and teaching or study of the history of Ming, Qing Dynasty, and social history or other historiography theories. He ever presided over a lot of State-level, Provincial-level academic researches or issues, such as “Research in the Economic Policies of Qing Dynasty”, “Agricultural Economics and Rural Society of Ming and Qing Dynasty”, “Study in the History of China Salary System”, “Study in the History of China Salt Industry”. At present, “Research of the Financial and Monetary Policies of Qing Dynasty”, “Research in the Salt Industry Management of Qing Dynasty”, and “Study of the Economical, Social and Cultural Development along Yangtze River between 15th to 20th Century” are still in progress.
